Never again: red poppies are blossoming in Ukraine and Uzhgorod

Ukrainians "turn on" red poppies – social networks feeds became red with the particular pattern, which looks like a flower and, at the same time, like a bullet trace. The symbol was created by Kharkiv designer Serhiy Mishakin

This is a new symbol of the Day, which is celebrated today – the Victory Day and the Memorial Day. Because, the "St. George Ribbon", which we remember from postcards on the occasion of the May 9 during Soviet times, became a symbol of hostility.

The poppy features dates of the beginning and the end of the World War II, which took tens of millions of lives, including Ukrainians. And more relevant for us than ever slogan: NEVER AGAIN.

Because, Ukrainians now certainly want peace, but also to protect their land from enemy aggression. Which, in fact, supplements the sentiments of the May 9. So, let’s wish the whole country, all the Ukrainians and good people, and above all veterans peace, and only peace. And of course, let’s remember those who are gone.   Many people will light candles on cemeteries. As you know, public events were canceled due to the situation in the country. But, the most important thing is to remember…
