Nearly UAH 5 million was allocate from the city budget for allowances for Uzhgorod doctors

This was reported by the mayor Bohdan Andriyiv. He also thanked the doctors and the medical staff for their dedication and noted that now, during the quarantine, the fight against the spread of coronavirus, doctors, medical staff are working in difficult conditions and are most at risk.

The mayor has ordered to pay the doctors of our municipal institutions a salary allowance for March. Almost 5 million hryvnias was allocated for that from the city budget. Employees of the central city clinical hospital received UAH 2 million 414.5 thousand, city polyclinics – UAH 1 million 748.8 thousand, and the city children’s hospital – UAH 789 thousand in incentive payments. In addition, as we reported, in Uzhgorod, additional UAH 11.4 million was allocated to counteract coronavirus infection – purchase of ventilators, respiratory medical masks, anti-plague suits, disinfectants, alcohol-containing antiseptic, tests, patient monitors. This decision was adopted at the extraordinary session of the City Council on March 17.
