Near the Slovakian Consulate in Uzhhorod a barrier will be installed

Today, September 5, members of the executive committee of Uzhgorod City Council, reacting to the complaints of the residents of the Lokota street and at the request of the Consulate General of the Slovak Republic in Uzhgorod, agreed to install at the beginning of the street a barrier, which would restrict the entry of cars that do not belong to residents of this street.

As the Mayor of Uzhgorod Victor Pogorelov said each day about 40 cars park on Lokota str. that causes inconviniences for residents of nearby houses. However, the member of the executive committee Vasyl Brenzovych doubted that the installation of a barrier can rectify the situation as cars, he said, will simply "migrate" to neighboring streets. Instead, he believes, the Consulate should arrange a parking lot for those who arrive for visas.
