NATO urged Ukraine to implement all recommendations of the Venice Commission on Minority Rights

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg called on Ukraine to implement all recommendations of the Venice Commission on Minority Rights. He said this at a joint press conference with President Zelensky in Kyiv, the Yevropeiska Pravda informs.
The Secretary General said that at the meeting with the President of Ukraine, he had raised the issue of the rights of national minorities in Ukraine, which concerns NATO member Hungary. "As you know, I am constantly talking about the importance of minority rights. All the allies agreed that Ukraine should fully implement all the recommendations of the Venice Commission," – Jens Stoltenberg said. "This decision and the implementation of these recommendations are up to Ukraine," – he added.
The NATO Secretary General said that he had heard from the Ukrainian party about the implementation of 6 out of the 7 recommendations.
Earlier, the Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban stated that the statement of NATO ambassadors on Ukraine would not be approved by Hungary without taking into account proposals on the Hungarian minority living in Transcarpathia.
