Mushrooms have not yet appeared, and the government already want to fine for selling them

This was announced after today’s session of the Regional committee on technogenic and ecological safety and emergencies.

The chief medical officer of Transcarpathia Volodymyr Markovich told about the organization of measures to prevent poisoning of the population with inedible mushrooms:

– In recent years we have recorded up to thirteen cases of mushroom poisoning annually. Last year 3 such situations were recorded. Fortunately, none resulted in fatalities. Regarding the settlements, where most cases of poisoning are recorded, those are Uzhgorod and Mukachevo.

The Committee adopted the "Action Plan for the Prevention of Mushroom Poisoning for 2013." The Plan prohibits the sale of mushrooms at natural markets, railway stations, electric trains and the arrangement of mushroom and wild plant harvesting points in cities and villages. In July and August, police officers and representatives of local authorities will be conducting joint raids to check the sale of mushrooms along the highways.
