Mukachevo “Red Wine” this year expects a record number of tourists

This year, the concept of the largest wine festival "Red Wine" is different: the participants of the festival were determined by the auction, – the head of Mukachevo Tourist Information Center Maxim Adamenko said during a press conference

According to him, during the festival, there will be three locations in the city park – wine, food and souvenir houses. Also, there will be two stages in the park and two media screens that will be broadcasting concerts from these stages.

The costs for the organization of this year’s festival will be covered with funds received from the auctions.  This year, they introduced an experiment in the form of an auction in three categories "wine", "restaurants", "souvenirs". Houses were rented to those participants who offered the highest bids. Only those wine producers, who produce and keep it themselves, were allowed to take part in the auction. "Overall, UAH 1 million 154 thousand was raised at the auction, which is 400 thousand more than expected. "Red Wine" is a self-sustaining festival, and no public funds are spent for its organization," – Adamenko noted.

The official opening is scheduled for January 12.

Headliners of the festival will be Maria Burmaka, Pavlo Zibrov, Stepan Hiha. The band Rock H will open the festival.
