Moskal insists on partial dismantling of the signs “Sberbank of Russia” in Uzhgorod and Mukachevo

The head of the Transcarpathian Regional Administration urges city authorities of Uzhgorod and Mukachevo to fulfill the order for partial dismantling of the signs "Sberbank of Russia".

– Article 8 of the Law of Ukraine "On Advertising" prohibits the use of the State Emblem of Ukraine, the image of state symbols of Ukraine and other countries, international organizations, official names of state bodies, etc. in signagae, – H. Moskal said. – In addition, I want to remind you that on February 9, 2015 Uzhgorod city council by its decision №1620 recognized Russia the aggressor country. Therefore I ask Uzhgorod city authorities to act in accordance with the law and decisions of the City Council, and not look for different excuses not to fulfill orders the head of the RSA. Also I call Mukachevo City Council to take at the next session a policy decision on the recognition of Russia the aggressor country.

Recall that on March 11 this year, the head of the RSA H.Moskal by his order recommended mayors of Uzhgorod and Mukachevo to dismantle the name of the aggressor country from the signs of "Sberbank of Russia", leaving just the word "Sberbank".
