On December 17, 2019, a Ukrainian, who was returning from Spain by a car Volkswagen CRAFTER, arrived at the customs post "Tisa" of the Transcarpathian Customs.
The citizen was undergoing customs control through "red corridor". Customs officers asked the citizen to fill out a customs declaration, in which he indicated his passport data, information about the vehicle and personal belongings. During the oral questioning, the citizen confirmed the information provided by him in the customs declaration, and denied carrying any other goods, including those prohibited or restricted for transportation across the customs border of Ukraine.
In the course of customs control of the citizen’s vehicle and belongings, in addition to personal belongings, customs officers found: 45 liters of red wine "Libertario" by "LA MANCHA"; 67.5 liters of sparkling wine "Blue" by "RONDEL"; 40.5 liters of white sparkling (semi-dry) wine "Oro" by "RONDEL"; 72 liters of white sparkling wine (extra brut) by "ARESTEL"; 79.5 liters of wine "VALDEPENAS" by "PATA NEGRA". All the found wine was made in Spane. The confiscated goods require additional evaluation by a specialist.
These actions have signs of violation of customs rules under Article 472 of the Customs Code of Ukraine.
The report on the violation of customs rules was drawn up, the citizen of Ukraine was allowed to carry 2 bottles of wine across the customs border, and the rest was seized pending court decision.
