“Meow!” with a British accent

Today in Padiyun they are choosing the most beautiful cats. Exhibition "Miss Kis" has been held for the tenth time. According to the permanent organizer of the event Svitlana Lukacs, this year about four dozen animals participate in the exhibition. And if in the early years of the exhibition, outbred cats were in the majority, this time there are few of them. 

Exhibition and competition also shows the trends in the breeds of Uzhgorod pets. Thus, the fad for fluffy Persian cats is ceasing, the most popular now are elegant and intelligent "British" and "Scots".   Colored kittens of these breeds were very popular among the visitors. 

However, their attention was also drawn to such somewhat exotic for our city breeds as sphinxes, tailless "jungle" cat, norwegian forest cat, Bengal breed, etc. There was no shortage of visitors near the two special tables – for the first time at the "Miss Kis" visitors could adopt stray kittens. This campaign was launched by the animal protection organization "Barbos", and within a couple of hours three kittens out of nine found new masters. Meanwhile, the organizers are preparing to determine the results and to award the best contestants in the nominations and, of course, to give the Grand Prix to the most beautiful cat.
