Participants of the ATO and the war in Afghanistan, soldiers of the 128th brigade and the engineer battalion "Tisa", contract soldiers, volunteers, community activists, students, clergy and representatives of local authorities gathered today in the city House of Culture to celebrate the Day of the Defender of Ukraine.
The traditional event turned into a sincere and relaxed meeting for commemorating the exploits of the Heroes who are defending the territorial integrity of Ukraine in the East and survived the crucible of war.
Another pleasant event was the speech of the military commissar of Vynogradiv District Military Commissar, Lieutenant Colonel Vasyl Zubatov, who presented state awards and insignia of the Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The audience obseved minute’s silence in honor of the Heroes killed in the ATO area. Representatives of NGOs, soldiers and veterans laid flowers to the memorial to honor the fallen soldiers in World War II, the monument to soldiers-internationalists, memorial sign to the fallen in the ATO area and the memorial plaque of the honorary citizen of Vynogradiv, Hero of the ATO Adalbert Kovacs.
The festive concert program also was rich – the choir war and labor veterans of the house of culture performed on stage, young poets recited their poems, winners of the city karaoke Ivan Olah and Yulianna Oros, singers Viktor Churkin, Oleksandr Dubrovka anf Yuriy Oros sang songs.
