Today, the second day and, actually, the official opening of the traditional "Medovukha Fest" is taking place in Uzhgorod. The three-day, eighth festival has unfolded in the heart of the city – Teatralna and Fentsyk squares. Beekeepers from around the Transcarpathia brought dozens of varieties of honey and honey products, and, of course, mead, honey ale.
Volodymyr Lyakh, the chairman of the Association of Beekeepers of Transcarpathia, which is the initiator and main organizer of the holiday, welcomed all the participants of the festival. He invited guests not only to taste honey, mead and other delicious honey products, but also to attend informative lectures by experienced beekeepers, in particular, to know how to choose the right honey, to take part in workshops.
In addition to honey and mead, you can buy a lot of tasty and healthy bee products – pollen, propolis, various honey-based sweets, products made of wax. There is also a variety of souvenirs from craftsmen at the festival, products made of wood, wool, toys and more. You can also taste delicious Transcarpathian dishes: bograch, baked potatoes, grilled vegetables.
The "Medovukha Fest" will be open today until 18.00, on Sunday, February 19, from 12 to 18.00.
