Meat infected with African swine fever was found on the Hungarian border

The dangerous virus, because of which hundreds of domestic animals had to be killed in Transcarpathia, is close.

This was reported by the Hungarian Telegraph Agency (MTI).

During the sampling of meat, workers of the National Food Quality Service found the African swine fever virus on the border.

Consequently, Hungary banned importation of any meat products, including those from Ukraine.

According to the estimates, the losses from the spread of African swine fever already exceed UAH 1 billion.

At the same time, deputies of the Verkhovna Rada are convinced that the regulatory bodies do not take appropriate measures to combat the epidemic and protect the interests of farmers.
