As reported by the Regional Health Center, the measles outbreak among students of the secondary school in the village of Chorna Tysa, Rakhiv district continues. As of May 16, 2018, the total number of ill students is 49. Mostly, those are mild and mediums forms of the disease. Two sick students are in the infectious desease department of the Rakhiv DIstrict hospital.
May 16, 2018, there was a meeting of the Emergencies Committee at the Rakhiv Regional State Administration, where they considered the issue of the measles epidemic situation in the village of Chorna Tysa. It was decided to introduce administrative and restrictive measures in compliance with anti-epidemic, medical and sanitary measures for the duration of the outbreak in the educational institution.
According to the operational data, since the beginning of 2018, 57 cases of measles have been registered in the village, including 57 cases among children under 17.
Since the beginning of 2018, 2,262 cases of measles have been registered in Transcarpathian region, including 1,829 cases among children under the age of 17.
Medical and preventive measures are ongoing.
