Lots of snow and frost: the winter season has opened in the Carpathians (FORECAST)

In the mountains, according to weather forecasters, lots of snow and frost is expected in the coming days.

The winter is back in the Carpathians.

"Today, November 15, on the mountain of Pip Ivan Chornohirsky, it’s cloudy, with light snow. The temperature is -5 ° С", – the Chornohora mountain search and rescue post informs.

At the same time, weather forecasters warn that in the mountains of Ivano-Frankivsk and Transcarpathian regions, wet snow is expected in the coming days, but in the lowlands a positive temperature remains.

"According to the Transcarpathian Center for Hydrometeorology, on November 15, drizzle is expected on the territory of the region, in the mountains – with transition to sleet and snow. The temperature at night is 1-6 °, during the day 7-12 ° degrees, in the mountains at night – up to -3 ° C, in the daytime – from -1 ° C to +4 ° C," – the Rescue Service reported.
