Latest information on the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection in Ukraine and Transcarpathia

922 patients have been diagnosed with COVID-19 in Transcarpathia.

"During the past day, May 19, 362 people sought emergency medical care, 9 of them had symptoms of acute pneumonia, 10 were suspected of having COVID-19" – the director of the Health Department of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Yelizaveta Birov said.

271 samples of biological materials for polymerase chain reaction (PCR) testing were collected.

11 persons were diagnosed with COVID-19, 2 of them are medical workers, and one is a child.

Overall, as of 9:00 am on May 20, 2020, 922 patients have been diagnosed with COVID-19. Of those, 206 are health care workers and 58 are children.

According to the Public Health Center, as of 9:00 am on May 20, there have been 19230 laboratory confirmed COVID-19 cases in Ukraine, of which 564 were fatal, 5955 patients have recovered. During the day, 354 new cases were confirmed. Currently, coronavirus disease has been detected in: 
Vinnytsia region – 766 cases; 
Volyn region – 676 ​​cases; 
Dnipropetrovsk region – 849 cases; 
Donetsk region – 133 cases; 
Zhytomyr region – 583 cases; 
Transcarpathian region – 922 cases; 
Zaporizhzhya region – 385 cases; 
Ivano-Frankivsk region – 1246 cases; 
Kirovohrad region – 450 cases; 
Kyiv – 2410 cases; 
Kyiv region – 1261 cases; 
Lviv region – 1136 cases; 
Luhansk region – 42 cases; 
Mykolaiv region – 264 cases; 
Odesa region – 792 cases; 
Poltava region – 265 cases; 
Rivne region – 1217 cases; 
Sumy region – 164 cases; 
Ternopil region – 1089 cases; 
Kharkiv region – 836 cases; 
Kherson region – 172 cases; 
Khmelnytsky region – 280 cases; 
Chernivtsi region – 2796 cases; 
Cherkasy region – 381 cases; 
Chernihiv region – 115 cases.  
The tests were conducted by the Virology Reference Laboratory of the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as well as by regional laboratories. As of the morning of May 20, 2020, the Center has received 1154 reports of suspected COVID-19 cases.
