This is stated in the Report on the implenetation of the Program of economic and social development of the city in 2014, which was today presented to Uzhgorod executive committee.
The report states that in order to improve passenger transportation by buses for general use, last year, the city carriers were carrying out continuous update of the rolling stock. Thus, in 2014, buses were replaced with newer and more comfortable ones 6 times, and 5 inspections of buses for their proper sanitary and hygienic conditions were conducted.
Also, they conducted the tender to determine the entity to perform the functions of the organization and management of traffic on regular city bus routes for general use using the GPS system.
In addition, the Head of the Economy and Business Department of the City Council Mykhailo Stankovich said that as of March 1, the bus route network of 29 routes is approved in Uzhgorod. Passenger transportation on city bus routes for general use was carried out by 18 carriers with 184 buses.
