Jazz legend Ray Brown Jr. will perform in Uzhgorod for the first time (Announcement)

On March 11, at 19:00, the jazz concert of the legendary Ray Brown Jr. will take place in the art center "ILKO Gallery" and for the first time in Uzhgorod, the "Karpatskij objektiv" informs.

Ray was born in New York and raised in Los Angeles, in the home of Ella Fitzgerald and Ray Brown Sr., who were often visited by Louis Armstrong, Frank Sinatra and Nat King Cole.

Ray began giving concerts while studying at school in Beverly Hills.

Soon, the musician started performing at music festivals across the US and Canada. This was followed by tours in Japan and Korea.

In 1990s, Ray began performing regularly in the hotel-casino "Riviera" Las Vegas.

Later, he released albums: "Stand By Me", "From the Heart" and "Time for Love" in the styles of jazz, R & B and blues.

Brown’s latest project is the album "Friends and Family". It consists of duets with stars: Dionne Warwick, Jane Monheit Dr. John, Paul Williams of The Temptations, Lonnie Smith, James Moody, with saxophonist David "Fathead" Newman and vibraphonist Terry Gibbs).
