Transcarpathian Irina Halay kept her word. The first Ukrainian woman, who conquered the top of the world – Everest, has started conquering other challenging mountains.
The native of Mukachevo has climed the capricious Denali, the highest mountain in North America. While it is hot summer in Ukraine, our blonde conquered the snows of Alaska and raised the flag of Ukraine at the top of America. Naturally, the famous pink "Bandera" ice pick was with her.
This is what she said about the adventure:
"We were climbing, sleeping, eating… Climbing, sleeping, eating… For 5 days.
Only 5 days for this very capricious peak in North America!!!
The "Big" Denali (6194 m)!
One of the most inaccessible mountains of the seven peaks of all continents due to severe weather conditions! To those, who decided to take a chance and climb the Denali, the mountain shows her capricious nature.
In all camps, all climbers and teams knew and were shocked by our speed of ascend. They are already telling legends about the "Ukrainian Express" that go to the top without stopping."
