In Transcarpathia, representatives of Interpol officially handed over investigators of the Security Service of Ukraine two citizens who had been hiding from justice in the EU.
They extradited from Spain to our country a 34-year-old native of Lviv, who had organized the smuggling of heroin to Ukraine in 2008. He was notified of being suspected of committing a crime under Part 2 of Art. 305 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, and a pre-trial restraint in the form of detention was imposed on him.
A resident of Transcarpathia, who in August 2012 smuggled a citizen of Pakistan across the state border of Ukraine, was handed over to the Security Service of Ukraine from Hungary. The man was notified of being suspected of committing a crime under Part 2 of Art. 332 (trafficking of persons across the state border of Ukraine) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. He was taken into custody according to the court ruling.
