International Kyokushin Kaikan Karate Championship has started in Uzhgorod (PHOTOS)

Today, the traditional IX International Kyokushin Kaikan Karate Championship among children, boys and girls has started in Uzhgorod. 300 athletes have come to the regional center of Transcarpathia – 19 teams from Ukraine, as well as teams from Belarus and Slovakia, who marched during the solemn parade in the hall of the sports complex "Yunist". The competitions are held in six age groups from 6 to 17 years and weight categories from 20 to 80+ kg.
The First Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine Vyacheslav Voytovych, Uzhgorod Mayor Bohdan Andriyiv, representatives of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration, the Consulate of Slovakia, the Federation of the Kyokushin Kaikan Karate of Ukraine took part in the grand opening of the tournament and greeted the athletes and trainers.
