A municipal institution "Inclusive-Resource Center № 1" of Uzhgorod City Council will be established in Uzhgorod. This decision today was considered and supported by the deputies of the City Council at the session. By the same decision, they approved the statute of the Center; its authorized managing body will be the department of the education of Uzhgorod City Council. The "Inclusive-Resource Center No. 1" is establshed in accordance with the requirements of the new Law on Education of Ukraine.
The Center is established to ensure the right of children with special educational needs aged 2 to 18 to pre-school and general secondary education, including that in vocational schools, through comprehensive psychological and pedagogical assessment of the child’s development, provision of psychological and pedagogical assistance and qualified support.
The center will be also consulting teachers and parents on the work with such children and carrying out other activities. The document details how the central management, staffing, etc. will be implemented.
