This year, the 19th contest "Miss Kis" started a week earlier than those in previous years – so that the participants and organizers had more time to prepare.
Today, November 14 is the fourth day of registration and a favorite beauty contest of Uzhgorod residents, "Miss Kis." The event itself will take place, traditionally, November 24 – the Zelene Zakarpattya reported.
According to the organizer of the competition Svitlana Lukach, so far only a few participants have registered. However, this is only the beginning of registration, and usually most participants appear in the middle and end of the registration process. The event organizer says that tomorrow they will announce the event in the city in the form of posters, so more Uzhgorod residents will be informed.
As with previous years, according to Ms. Svitlana, it is expected over 40 cats to participate. They will be awarded in the categories already approved over the years: outbred cats, juniors – cats under 1 year, thoroughbred shorthair, thoroughbred longhair. There will also be the Grand Prix and Audience Award. The jury, Svitlana Lukach says, is not yet fully formed, but, according to tradition, it will include veterinarians, biologists and sponsors.
So far, organizers say, it is too soon to talk about highlights of this year’s "Miss Kis". However, they are hoping that there will be some interesting, new breeds. Also, anyone will be able to adopt a homeless cat, and the next year to take part in the competition with it.
So, applications to participate in the "Miss Kis" are accepted by the following schedule: Monday – Friday from 14.00 to 18.00, Saturday – from 10.00 to 13.00, Sunday – day off. The exhibition of animals begins on November 24 at 11.00, and the awards ceremony – at 14.00.
