Theft of expensive bikes is a very common type of crime nowadays.
Recently, Uzhgorod detectives detained two local minors. The boys are only 17. One of them lives on Mozhaisky street, the other one – on Dekabristy street. At the end of June, they stole two bikes from a resident of Uzhgorod. The stolen goods were sold. The police are now establishing whom they sold the bicycles.
Criminal proceedings over this incident have been initiated. Pre-trial restraint is to be imposed on the young offenders. The involvement of the detainees in similar crimes is being checked.
