In Uzhgorod, officials paid tribute to the Great Kobzar

Today, March 9, on Narodna Square in Uzhgorod, there was a ceremony of laying flowers to the monument to Taras Shevchenko.

The event dedicated to the 202nd Anniversary of the Great Poet was attended by the head of the regional state administration Hennadiy Moskal and the Chairman of the Regional Council Mykhailo Rivis. They laid flowers at the foot of the monument.

The ceremony was attended by heads of law enforcement agencies, the regional center, diplomats and members of the public.

Also, near the monument, the honored academic Transcarpathian Folk Choir performed works of Taras Shevchenko and the National Anthem.
