A 38-year-old resident of Uzhgorod district appealed to Uzhgorod police. The applicant said that he had been robbed in the city of Uzhgorod, near the train station. On the railway track, the victim was approached by a group of strangers, one of which hit the applicant in the leg, while the other one snatched a mobile phone from his hand, after which the robbers fled.
This crime was solved quickly. Law enforcement officials identified the attackers, including three 18-year-old students of a local college and a 20-year-old woman.
The police launched a criminal proceeding over robbery (Art.186 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The physical evidence – the stolen phone – was seized and after the commodity expertise will be returned to the owner. The detainees are being checked for involvement in similar crimes committed in the city.
