In Uzhgorod, a fraudster was caught

Under the pretext of making a call, a 23-year-old woman stole a mobile phone from an 18-year-old student. However, the offender was caught by officers of the CID of Uzhgorod city police.
 
Recently, an 18-year-old local resident, a student of one of the schools of our city filed a statement with the Uzhgorod police. She reported that an unknown woman had fraudulently, under the pretext of making a call, taken possession of an expensive mobile phone.
 
It turned out that the incident had occurred at about 19.30, near the house where the girl lives. There, a strange woman came up to the victim and asked for a mobile phone, saying that she urgently needed to call. The trusting girl agreed to help, because she could not imagine that the crook would flee with her mobile phone…
 
Soon, officers of the CID of Uzhgorod city police caught the "borrower" of the mobile phone. It was a 23-year-old resident of Uzhgorod.
 
The incident was registered in the Unified register of pre-trial investigations and criminal proceeding was opened under Part 1 of Art.190 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (taking possession of another’s property by fraud or breach of trust), which is punishable by a fine of up to fifty tax-free minimum incomes, community service for up to 240 hours, correctional labor for up to two years, or imprisonment for up to three years.
