In Uzhgorod, a 17-year-old boy stole from a pensioner’s house 100,000 UAH worth of jewelry

Officers of the Uzhgorod criminal police identified the young man who had robbed the pensioner. Some material evidence has already been seized.

At the end of September, a 59-year-old resident of Uzhgorod reported a theft to the police. The woman said that in the period from 1 to 29 of September, unknown persons had broken into her house and took the jewelry worth 100 thousand hryvnia. Despite the fact that police officers had to work with inaccurate information, the operatives solved the theft within a few days. Officers of the Uzhgorod police department identified the young jewelry thief. Some of the evidence has already been seized from the 17-year-old boy. The juvenile has already been prosecuted for a similar crime.

A criminal proceeding over this incident was initiated under Part 3 of Art. 185 of the Criminal Code, ie burglary. The investigation continues.
