The Special Forces of the Security Service of Ukraine in Transcarpathian region identified and eliminated the channel of illegal transportation of foreign citizens across the state border of Ukraine.
It is established that a group of criminals had transnational ties in Asia and Africa and was illegally trafficking immigrants from these countries to Western Europe.
During the raid, officers of the Security Service of Ukraine detained four members of the criminal group "red-handed" while they were transporting 12 Afghan citizens and 4 citizens of Syria to the state border with Slovakia.
The investigative measures within the criminal proceeding under Part 2 of Art. 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (illegal transportation of persons across the state border of Ukraine) continue.
