Officers of the Security Service of Ukraine Special Forces in Transcarpathian region exposed the illegal activities of the deputy chief of a district police department in Transcarpathian region, who had demanded from a local inhabitant 2,400 UAH of undue advantage for a permit to purchase special equipment for shooting rubber bullets.
Recall that officers of the Security Service of Ukraine Special Forces in Transcarpathian region together with officers of the regional prosecutor’s office arrested the policeman in a cafe in Svalyava, when he was receiving the money.
On April 29, the regional prosecutor’s office notified the detainee of being suspected of a crime under Part 3 of Art. 368 (receiving of undue advantage by an official, who occupies a responsible position, coupled with extortion of undue advantage) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The pretrial investigation continues.
