In Transcarpathia, smugglers increasingly use wetsuits as a means of committing offense (PHOTOS, VIDEO)

This morning, in Transcarpathia, border guards of the department "Dilove" of the Mukachevo Detachment together with the Romanian colleagues prevented the transportation of 28 packages of contraband tobacco products across the state border and detained on the bank of the Tisa River, which forms the border with Romania, a citizen of Ukraine wearing a diving suit.

During the further search activities, employees of the State Border Guard Service detained 13 more people in diving suits, who were returning from Romania after a failed attempt of cigarette smuggling.

All the detainees were delivered to the border guard unit. Reports of administrative offenses were drawn up against the offenders for illegal border crossing. The case was forwarded to the court. Diving suites were seized.

Notably, since the beginning of the year, in 9 cases, 25 offenders in diving suits have been detained, including one minor.
