In Transcarpathia, border guards in cooperation with public activists detained two citizens of Moldova

Two Moldovans were detained yesterday by the district inspector of the Border Guard Service "Novoselytsia" near the border in Transcarpathian region.

Border guards were informed about unknown persons with backpacks moving towards the border by representatives of a public organization. The information was immediately sent to all nearest units and district inspectors of the Border Guard Service patrolling this area. As a result of search operations, one kilometer away from the Ukrainian-Slovak border, district inspector of the Border Guard Service noticed and stopped two unknown persons.

The men, who were going to Slovakia, had no documents and explained that they were citizens of the Republic of Moldova. The offenders were taken to the border guard unit for identification and drafting administrative procedural documents.
