The car worth more than one million two hundred thousand hryvnia was detained at the checkpoint "Luzhanka" by border guards of the Mukachevo Detachment and customs officers.
The driver, a citizen of Ukraine, chose the "green corridor" lane for the border and customs controls. The man said that he was returning from the trip and was not carrying anything. This fact and the anxiety of the driver caused the suspicion of border guards of the department "Luzhanka." Therefore, the car was sent to conduct an in-depth inspection where a joint border guard and customs team found that VIN-codes of the car did not match the data of the registration certificate.
Administrative documents were drawn up against the driver and the car made in 2013 was confiscated. The vehicle was valued at 1,261,725 UAH. Currently, all the details, including the possible theft of the car are being investigated.
