In Transcarpathia, border guard trainees detained smugglers on their first day of service at the border (PHOTOS)

During their first patrol in the mountainous section of the border on June 17, the future officers, who were part of the border patrol from the department "Dilove", noticed unknown persons going from Romania to Ukraine.

The offenders tried to escape from the border guards, but failed. After firing several warning shots, the servicemen detained four undocumented men 100 meters to the border. The detainees were citizens of Ukraine. During the filtering activities, they admitted that they intended to smuggle cigarettes across the border.

In order to establish all the circumstances of the offense and draw up administrative documents, the detainees were taken to the border guard unit.

The violators will be tried in court.
