In Transcarpathia, an accident happened on the railway track

In the village of Velyka Kopanya, a jeep collided with a train.

Officers of the Khust Police Department are determining all the circumstances and causes of the collision of a car and a freight train in the village of Velyka Kopanya.

On March 25, the police received a report about a road accident in the village of Velyka Kopanya, Vynogradiv district. At the scene, police officers found out that a car Land Rover driven by a 26-year-old resident of Tyachiv district had collided with a freight train. The car was moving from Khust towards the village of Velyka Kopanya, and the train was heading to the village of Korolevo.

The Land Rover hit the train on a railway crossing and the driver sufferred a shoulder injury. He was taken to the hospital in Vynogradiv. His life is not in danger.

The police are determining the circumstances and the cause of the collision. Preliminary legal classification is Art. 286 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, that is, violation of the rules of road safety, – in the communications department of the Transcarpathian regional police reported.
