The Rescue Service "101" received a report of a fire in a residential building in the village of Ternovo in Tyachiv district.
The fire was extinguished by firefighters of the State Fire and Rescue Post of the village of Dubove and the local fire brigade of the village of Neresnytsia. Fire extinguishing in the mountainous terrain was hampered by the lack of access roads to the scene.
Upon arrival, it was found out that an entire wooden house was burning, the roof had almost collapsed.
During the fire suppression, rescue workers found the body of the 71-year-old homeowner and his 63-year-old partner.
The cause of the fire and the amount of the loss is being established. One if the probable causes is short circuit.
