On April 11, in the forest belt in Volovets district, Transcarpathian region, officers of the Security Service of Ukraine found a cache with ammunition of the Second World War period.
Officers of the Security Service of Ukraine, together with officers of the regional office of the State Emergencies Service seized 56 artillery mortar shells of 87 caliber. Each munition contained about 800 grams of TNT. The total weight of explosive is approximately 45 kilograms.
Law enforcement officers are identifying persons involved in the arrangement of the cache and illegal possession of ammunition. Explosive items have been destroyed.
