Employees of Volovets police department are establishing all the circumstances of the accident in the Styn tract near the village of Roztoka, where a local resident was killed by a tree.
Yesterday, September 14, a doctor of the local hospital reported to the police that the body of a 25-year-old resident of the village of Roztoka, who had died in the woods, had been delivered to them.
At the scene, the police found out that the victim had gone to the forest to harvet firewood for his parents. The man borrowed a chainsaw from a neighbor and went to the forest to harvest firewood. While cutting trees, the trunk of a 20 cm thick tree split in two halves, fell and injured the man.
The man died on the spot from his injuries. The victim was delivered to the prosectorium of Volovets district hospital. Employees of Volovets police department are establishing all the circumstances of the accident.
