Yesterday, border guards of the Mukachevo Detachment, while patrolling the territory adjacent to the border, noticed a vehicle that was moving fast towards the border.
The driver of the car ignored the request of the border guards to stop and tried to escape. The border guards immediately informed the National Police Department in Beregovo about the situation and together they blocked all possible way outs. A few minutes later, the car with the violators was detained by a mobile group of border guards and policemen. There were 5 local residents in the car. In addition, the police found in the detained "UAZ" three packages with over 4.5 thousand packs of cigarettes without excise stamps.
A report of administrative offense under Art. 185-10 of the CAO of Ukraine was drawn up against the driver who disobeyed legal requests of border guards. The vehicle and the found goods were transferred to Beregovo police department.
Border guards sent a notification for registration of the incident in the URPI as a crime under Art. 204 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
