The police opened a criminal investigation into the murder of a 15-year-old resident of Nyzhnya Asha in Tyachiv region. The suspect in the crime has been identified. The investigation is ongoing.
Yesterday, March 14, the police received a report about the murder of a minor in the village of Nyzhnya Apcha. The crime was reported to the police by doctors, who had confirmed the violent death of the boy.
Local law enforcement officers arrived at the crime scene, and the regional investigators joined the investigation. Representatives of the Department for Investigation of Crimes Against Human Life and Health, together with Tyachiv policemen, found out that a 14-year-old resident of the village of Nyzhnya Apcha, while being at his place of residence, had quarreled with his friend and struck him with a knife around his neck. The 9-grade student died on the spot from the injuries.
The police opened a criminal proceeding under Part 1 of Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, that is, deliberate murder. The 14-year-old resident of Nyzhnya Apsha suspected of committing the crime was detained in accordance with Article 208 of the CPC of Ukraine.
Recall that the criminal liability for committing a crime of such gravity statrts applying at the age of 14. The choice of pre-trial restraint against the suspect is being decided. The investigation continues, the PR department of Transcarpathian regional police reported.
