In Perechyn, a woman was growing narcotics

Perechyn law enforcement officers found illegal plantation of poppies 

According to the Communication Department of the Transcarpathian regional police, officers of the Perechyn police department found 250 stems of poppy on a plot of land near a local house. Investigators initiated a criminal proceeding over illegal sowing and cultivation of this plant. 

"Yesterday, July 13, Perechyn policemen found in the yard of a house on Peremoha street a poppy plantation. As the policemen found out, a resident of Uzhgorod is taking care of the house. Law enforcement officers found on the plot of land 250 stems of this plant and sent them for expert examination", – the report says.  

Investigators opened a criminal proceeding under Part 1 of Article 310 (sowing or growing of poppy) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. This criminal offense is punishable by a fine of up to fifty non-taxable minimum incomes, or arrest for a term up to six months, or restraint of liberty for a term up to three years. The pre-trial investigation continues.
