In Mizhhirya district, tourists from Lviv got lost. They were found in Svalyava district

January 24, near the village of Pylypets in Mizhhirya district on the Mt. Hymba, four tourists from Lviv got lost. Two girls and two boys were skiing and snowboarding when a snow blizzard began. Due to bad weather conditions, tourists got lost. When the skiers failed to return to the camp at the agreed time, their friend at 18:00 phoned to the Rescue Service "101".

Professionals of Mizhhirya mountain search and rescue department began searching for the tourists. For several hours, they were combing hillsides and came down to the village of Bereznyky in Svalyava district. At the same time, it was reported that at 22:40, the skiers had come across the house of a forester, located near the village of Bereznyky. To get to civilization, they had to walk about 15 km. The rescuers made sure that the tourists’ health condition was satisfactory and they did not need medical care. Then, the guests of Transcarpathia went back to the skiing camp in the village of Pylypets in Mizhhirya district.
