October 14, a 34-year-old resident of the village of Vyshkovo reported to Khust Police Department that she had thrown a rifle in the trash between her settlement and the village of Yablunivka. The woman explained that the hunting rifle "TOZ-34" was her late husband’s. But in September she accidentally damaged the rifle handle while cleaning. Since the resident of the village of Vyshkovo did not know that the rifle had to be handed over to the police permit system units for disposal, she just threw the it away.
The investigation over this incident continues, the woman will be fined for such reckless actions. Remember that the month of voluntary surrender of weapons continues in Transcarpathia. Citizens can not only bring the police unregistered weapons, but also arsenals that are authorized for disposal.
