In Irshava district there are queues to kindergartens too

Lack of places in kindergartens is a traditional problem for many Transcarpathian villages. Due to lack of space, some kindergarten groups are overcrowded.
Kindergartens are for children, but the problems are for adults. The most common ones are the lack of places and outdated facilities. To solve this problem two years ago in the village of Deshkovytsya in Irshava district a kindergarten was opened. Premises are few, only 5 rooms. There is one mixed group, where more than 20 children are brought up.
Village head Mykhailo Lomaha says that the kindergarten in the village of Deshkovytsya is too small. "Today, in the village there are 67 children of preschool age, there is a need to build a new building and then possibly to open another group" – the village head said.
But everything depends on funding. Regular appeals to district administration result only in promises. Because of that children in kindergartens for two consecutive years were without water.    Realizing that this will continue, the community in the early summer appealed to the Regional Council chairman Ivan Baloha. "Today, the school and the kindergarten are provided with water supply. And this is progress" – summed up the village head.
