Immigrants from Asia tried to cross the border again

Yesterday, December 10, while taking measures to combat illegal migration, Chop border guards detained illegal immigrants from the Asian region.

Thanks to the information received in advance, two men were found at the site of the "Uzhgorod" department. Subsequently, the Task Force unit with a dog, detained them at 800 meters to the Ukrainian-Slovak border. The "tourists" told border guards that they had come from Iran, but they had no IDs to confirm that. Also, the offenders said that they were going to Slovakia and from there they planned to get to Western Europe.

They planned their route across the border using the Internet service Google maps. After checking the appropriate databases, border guards also found out that the said duo had previously tried to enter the EU – the first time, the men were arrested late this summer by border guards of the "Tisa" department for trying to illegally cross the border with Hungary.

The offenders were taken to the border guard department.  Their further fate will be determined by the court.
