The illegal exportation of a young child was prevented by border guards of the Chop detachment. Yesterday, a citizen of Ukraine arrived at the checkpoint "Tisa". She and her five-year-old nephew we going to Italy in a bus "Lviv-Rome".
Along with passports, the woman presented a notarized statement of the father about the consent for the child’s travelling abroad. However, during further examination of the documents, the border guards found out that the submitted statement was invalid because it had been obtained illegally. Law enforcers found out that at the time of document issuance, the boy’s father was abroad.
Representatives of the National Police were informed about the evidnce of a possible criminal offense under Art.358 of the Criminal Code (Counterfeiting or sale of documents, seals, stamps and forms, use of forged documents).
The minor citizen of Ukraine, whom the woman tried to illegally take to Italy, was not allowed to cross the state border. The woman and the child were handed over to law enforcement agencies.
