The first hunting festival was held yesterday, September 15, in Transcarpathian Badalovo. 12 teams, including one from Hungary, gathered to demonstrate their skills.
The rich and exciting program included only one contest – in trap shooting. The winners were father and son Zoltan and Carol Nagy.
The hunting atmosphere was ensured by a variety of dishes made of different game and the exhibition of of hunting dogs. Hunters tested their four-pawed "colleagues" in artificial fox burrows.
Overall, the organizers say, the festival was attended by at least 3000 people. Having received both gastronomic and spectacular pleasure, they want more. So next year, in Badalovo, they will bring together hunters not only from Transcarpathia. At least, official letters to the head office of Hungarian hunters are already being written…
