Hungary will be checking more thoroughly at the border because of the African swine fever

Hungary warns Ukrainians about additional checks at the border because of the African swine fever. Hence, the waiting time on the border with Hungary is expected to increase.

Additional measures are aimed at preventing the spread of African swine fever in Hungary

The Consulate General, referring to the Hungarian National Tax and Customs Service and experts from the Food Safety Authority (Nebih), reported that every person and car crossing the border with Hungary will now be thoroughly checked. These measures are aimed at preventing the spread of African swine fever in Hungary.

"Accordingly, the waiting time for crossing the border will increase," – the General Consulate informs.
