Last night, border guards of the Chop detachment detained another "quartet" of illegal immigrants on their way to Hungary across… the Tisa. However, it is currently unknown how they were supposed to do quite a serious crossing.
Around three in the morning, a border guard unit that were patrolling the area of "Salovka" detected with thermal unit four people who were moving towards the border. Task Force with a dog instantly went to the said direction and began searching.
They detained four people – two men born in 1954 and 1996, and two women born in 1951 and 1998. However, as in most cases, none of them could confirm their identity, age and nationality by documents, and the country of origin, according to their words, was Afghanistan.
Further, the "seekers of happiness" told the border guards that they were all members of one family. They also said that the cost of their trip to the EU was 11,000 dollars for one person!
Currently, the border guards are conducting verifying and administrative procedural measures. The fate and the sentence of detainees will be decided by court.
