How and where Uzhgorod residents ca receive “Affordable medicines” under the government program

Uzhgorod residents will be able to receive medicines for cardiovascular diseases, type I diabetes and asthma for free or with a discount.

The Government Program "Affordable medicines" launched on April 1, 2017. 

How to receive free medicine?

– Consult your doctor and get a prescription written out properly.

– Visit any pharmacy mentioned below.

In the pharmacy, a person may choose to either receive the cheapest medicine for free or a different brand with a discount.

Prescriptions should be issued by doctors according to the list of medicines approved by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.

2. Can a patient receive free medicines without a prescription?

The government will not restrict the free market of medicines. If a patient wants to buy tested medicines without a prescription from doctor, he or she can do it at any pharmacy. However, in this case, the pharmacy will have no reason to give a medicine for free or with a discount.
