Holiday without pathos and officialdom (Photo-fact)

eterans of Ukrainian-Russian war and social activists celebrated the important day for Ukraine.

October 14 is the Intercession of the Holy Virgin, the Day of Ukrainian Cossacks, the 74th anniversary of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army, and the Day of the Defender of Ukraine. Glory to the heroes, who fought for the independence of Ukraine, and now are protecting it from enemies! Glory to Ukrainian army! Those were the main messages at today’s patriotic event.

No officials, verbose speeches, but very sincerely. This is how the Day of the Defender was celebrated by those, to whom it is special. War participants and members of patriotic organizations gathered to honor the memory of fallen colleagues. In the procession from Nebesna Sotnya street to the cemetery, they were carrying candles, flowers and battle flags. The event was organized by the NGO "Carpathian Sich" and the NGO "Brothers of Ukraine. Uzhgorod."

And at 14.00, in the Bozdosh park, they will celebrate the holiday… with arms. But not real ones: the airsoft tournament will be held there. Veterans of the Russian-Ukrainian war and members of combatant unions will take part in it.
